Dear Parents,

The School of Religious Education offered a family night on July 18 called Christmas in July, which was great.  All together we had about 30 participants-children, grandparents and parents enjoying the air-conditioned Regina Hall, movie, treats, and gifts. 

For August we are planning our very own Olympics with prizes and medals.  We invite your children to participate in fun competitions- egg/spoon walk, relay races, Limbo dance, and more.  Refreshments will be served.  The Confirmation class is asked to bring in baked goods and help as volunteers.  Parents are invited to be the cheerleaders.

 

                        What:               Religious Education Olympics

                        When:  Friday, August 22 from 7 PM-9 PM

                        Where: Regina Center Gym

                        Why:                To provide family summer fun

                        Deadline:          Wednesday, August 13

If we do not have enough of participants registered by August 13 we will notify you that it is cancelled.

Wear comfortable clothes (long pants suggested) and sneakers are a must. Registration is required.  Please fill out this tear-off and drop it off at the rectory or put in the collection basket so that teams can be set up.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Religious Education Program at St.Rosalia-Regina Pacis is based on the belief that the family is the first and most important community in which is shared and nurtured. The program is intended to support the family and the church community to help form young Catholics.

Our goal is to involve the children in active learning that translates into active faith. We believe that children grow in faith best as members of a faith community that includes their families, their classmates, their catechists and their Parish Community. We intend to help each child experience what Catholics believe, how we celebrate, live and pray. We will support them in living their faith by providing them with the tools to make good moral choices, to act justly and to witness to their beliefs in word and in deed each day.
